Through creative partnerships, Gikendaasowin (knowledge) Lac du Flambeau Tribal Education Department provides learning opportunities to promote and enhance the educational and cultural growth of the Lac du Flambeau community.
Full-time college students living 50 miles or more away from their primary residence are eligible to receive a loan up to $5,000.00 per academic year to assist with rent and utility (water, sewer and electricity only) expenses. The Housing Assistance Loan program offers a zero interest loan and is limited to 20 students per semester.
Enrolled Lac du Flambeau Tribal Members graduating with an Associate Degree or higher are eligible to receive a graduation incentive (if available). Incentives are determined by the Education Department and may vary from year to year. Due to budgetary limitations, incentives may not be available.
